I have to share with you all the pictures from today though. For you family members, I have to tell you I stood here and cried like a baby while the truck was coming into view. And after it was all out I fully expected my dad to walk out after it. Wishful thinking I know, but this truck is so tied up with him in my memory that it was a real emotional experience.
The short story is my dad left his truck to Steven and after 26 years, it's out of the barn and in the sunlight once again. I didn't remember that Dad had put this in the barn the year after Steven had been born, but the inspection sticker and Tag all support that. How strange to know that most of the grandkids have never seen this truck or seen daddy with the truck.
Steven you have been entrusted with lots of memories.....take care of them my son! I can't wait to see where you take this truck and the memories you create for you and your son!
